I still have my Mandrake 7.0 CDs, I even installed it on a piece of old hardware last year. Ah, KDE1.x, how I miss you (it was better than KDE4.x!).

For the record, I was well aware of Slackware back then (I'd used it quite a bit!). I can't remember exactly why I didn't include it in the roundup, but I probably had a hard time getting hold of it -- I lived in a small town that only had dialup until sometime in 2003.
Then I switched to Slack and used it as my main OS for two years :-)
