I was also impressed with the download speed yesterday evening!

Last weekend, I tried to download the new SUSE Linux 10 and it took me ages. Yesterday, within 30 Minutes I downloaded the ISO and know I am a happy Ubuntu user.

SUSE Linux 10 is still installed on my second hardddrive, but I will replace it with Mandriva 2006. SUSE Linux looks really nice (especially the bootsplash), but I have to many problems with it:

1. It did not setup my monitor correctly. The H-Frequency is 28-63 but in YaST you can only select frequencies 30+. So I had to edit the xorg.conf file manually. That's not very user friendly!

2. Was I nightmare to install Eclipse. Had to download it from one of the very slow mirrors. Then I few libraries were missing (not included in CD Edition)

Has anybody experience with Madriva Linux 2006? Is it worth downloading it?

Thanks,
Hi All,

Just read that Ubuntu 5.10 and Kubuntu 5.10 are available now (right on schedule).

Kubuntu comes with the latest KDE 3.4.3 and a new package manager, called Adept.
