According to this:
http://www.t3.com/news/motorola-xoom-android-3-1-honeycomb-update-hits-the-uk?=59333

Motorola are rolling out 3.1 in the UK right now... a full 3 months after they rolled it out in the US (who are now on 3.2).

If you want to "manually" update the Xoom it would need to be rooted first:
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/manually-update-motorola-xoom-honeycomb-tablet-to-android-3-1/

Do Motorola not provide upgrades? Having bought an Asus pad, I find that they have provided updates to 3.2. They are delivered OTA like the upgrades for Android phones, so you don't need any other hardware to install them.

I am thinking of buying a Motorola Xoom tablet from Amazon UK. It will come with Android 3.0 installed. I would like to upgrade to Android 3.1. How easy (or difficult) will that be? Will I need to connect the Xoom to a MS Windows machine? I am asking because I don't have one. I do have Linux (Fedora) laptops. Will be grateful for any comments, suggestions or, advice.
