Feels funny answering my own query but others might benefit from what I found out. The Boost C++ libraries provide regular expression capabilities and much more. The home page is http://www.boost.org/. The best thing is Boost libraries are already installed on my Fedora Core 4.

                                      Hi,

I need to use regular expressions in C++ programs but haven't the faintest idea of how to do so. Any help or hints will be much appreciated. (I am very familair with regular expressions in Perl.)

Cheers
