Thanks, towy71. I'll look into that. But it's not been a particular issue until this evening. That's why I posted. I've had to close down firefox and login again a couple of times, all down to atdmt completely hanging on me. Perhaps their server is being overworked at the moment, but that's no excuse. To be fair to ad.doubleclick, they were only being slow a couple of times. They did resolve eventually.

if you change your theme to extralite and install adblock and flashblock in firefox, then you might notice the difference

Slow Advertisers' Servers

I know that advertising on this site is foisted on you from above, but I just wanted to let you know that the advertisers' servers (which seem to intervene and slow things down as one goes from page to page) frequently make it near-impossible to navigate this site. Sometimes they hang. Particular offenders this evening are view.admt.com and ad.doubleclick.net .

I don't know whether it will make any difference, but I've just blocked cookies from those two.

Edit: Sorry, I mean view.atdmt.com. The b****rs just hung me up again.
