Hello again,

I appear to have (temporarily ?) solved this one by doing an "upgrade" from the MD installation CD, it didn't upgrade anything - just fixed.
Still interested to find out what might be the problem, google returns several hits from forums but no definitive answers.
Thanks
Hi all,
My working and carefully customised MD 10.1 installation is on a separate drive hdb

Yesterday it started to hang during boot. I get a continuously scrolling :

hdb1: rw=0 want 1412962(etc) limit = 1227359(etc)
attempt to access beyond end of device.

Semi self explanatory but why, and what can I do to recover the install.

I can boot from CD and mount the partitions in rescue mode O.K. they all seem to be there
Thanks
