Gone down Car Lane in Shipley (Yorks) on a pedal bike and not hit the brakes till last 100 yards.

Climbed an 80 foot vertical cliff in a quarry with no ropes or other safety gear.

I haven't been down the road way, way too dangerous with the number of cars on it, but I've been down the footpath that goes straight down.
I've seen an old photo of a Foden steam wagon on the corner. I wouldn't particularly want to drive one of those up or down.
The lifeboat went to Porlock. They had to get the life boat up Countisbury by hand. . Porlock Hill was the bit where they had to get it down without smashing it.

There was always something enveloped in a cloud of steam in the lay-by at the top.

Gosh, I'd forgotten about Porlock Hill. As a kid we often had holidays down that way. Our car always made it up the hill (just), but there were plenty that didn't.
And to think that they once hauled a lifeboat up over there by hand...

weak that's all i can say if you got a direct hit and your wife came home and caught you, you could say you were teaching him a life lesson.......and trail off.........your sentence.........

Got completely lost in an abandoned, boarded-up school building at 2am, with only a few mobile phones for lighting. Fun!

That does look like fun. Although I would do it on my gravity-powered go cart. It corners like a swivel chair.
I think quite a lot of my most memorable things to do involve steep hills and homebuilt go carts. And ending up in the minor injuries unit afterwards.
Another fun/suicidal road to ride a bicycle down round here is Countisbury hill, which is one in six for about a mile then another mile of one in four with no major bends in it.

... you've driven the road between Sirdal and Lysebotn in Norway... see here. Preferably in a small car with reasonable power and good handling.
