ive just made my own website, and i think adding music to it was the best thing...it was really cool and then at least you can relax with music - add playlist so you have lots of variety

A lot of people are actually in to music in their websites and
blogs and all those stuff. I guess I'm literally in between.
Somebody I knew at Uni was amazing at scratching, not too bad at mixing either. IIRC he spent most of his grant money on a set of new SL1210's every term

This file was intended to be a gag. But then, record scratching is nothing new.

Record scratching was a concept developed in the early 1980s as part of a new style of music called house music. Disco was out as a style of music, and DJs, particularly in New York (where the concept started) and Chicago, wanted to do something different with the records.

Run-DMC popularized scratching in their take on Aerosmith's Walk this Way back in 1985.

Record scratching became a part of what we now call hip-hop.

These days, we have a software package called TerminatorX, which is a virtual DJ studio where you can take record scratching to the next level. Any audio file in supported formats is fair game.

Imagine doing the scratch on a Bill Gates quote, or Rush Limbaugh for that matter.

I have created a Ogg Vorbis file that is now the theme music for my website.

Take terminatorX, load a two second sample on turntable 2, load the online clip from gnomeicu into turntable 1, activate the turntables, scratch up the online clip on turntable 1,
then load the resulting file into Audacity, normalize the file, apply bass boost, then renormalize the file.

Save the file as an Ogg Vorbis file, and you can hear the result.
