                                      In KDE control centre &amp;gt; Sounds &amp;amp; Multimedia &amp;gt; System Notifications this will give you a list of system events to which you can attach sounds etc&lt;br /&gt;

                                      When I first installed Mandrake 10.1, kde used to play a sound (sort of tune) on login and logout. Since I have downloaded some updates the sounds seem to have stopped.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I have looked around the kde control centre but cannot see where these sounds would be set, to check if the reason they have stopped is that they have been disabled or something. Sound stills works for other applications in kde and I believe that the mixer has all the relevant bits enabled. I did a search in the kde help but couldn't seem to find a relevant section. I would very much appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.</description>
