Hi all...

Well it is easily possible to use the Arduino Diecimila Board
with MikeOS.

All that is required is a simple two transistor add-on to use
it in direct serial mode and ignore the USB section.

Although the builtin terminal program in MikeOS is limited
this will display ASCII characters WRT the analogue input
voltages...

Now for direct SERIAL access... >

Hi Anonymous Penguin, (you know who you are)...

Juat pulled this off of Mikes blog/advert...

> Aside from nostalgia, what is the point of learning
> or re-learning to program in BASIC?

How about FUN and ENJOYMENT doing something different!

Hi guys...

Well I`m pi$$ing around with MikeOS ATM and it is absolutely
brill` fun.

I successfully got an Analogue to Digital Converter working
with it yesterday using the parallel port which then made
me think......

My lateral thinking head now...... ;o)

MikeOS comes with a simple terminal program to read/write
to the COM1 port and I wondered if Arduino could be read
and written to too for very basic multi-I/O.

I have a sneaking suspicion it WILL be able to.
My next adventure...

Hmmm, Arduino on MikeOS eh!

So grab MikeOS, have some real, old time, fun and
experimentation and use that child in your head to its
fullest and best advantage...
