                                      In the Bookmarks menu choose &amp;quot;Organise Bookmarks&amp;quot; - the resulting box shows the tree structure on the left of all your bookmarks. When you select a bookmark folder on the left, each bookmark is displayed on the top right panel. Select a bookmark there and then edit in the dialogue boxes below - names and addresses can be edited.</description>

                                      I'd already had a search in about&amp;#058;config using &amp;quot;address&amp;quot; and &amp;quot;location&amp;quot; as search terms without turning up anything useful, which is why I hadn't bothered to mention it.&lt;br /&gt;

Thinking about it again, I have used &amp;quot;url&amp;quot; as a search term. This turns up some things that look as though they might do something, but if the default string associated with a value is &amp;quot;+&amp;quot;, for example, what are the alternatives and what do they do? Ho hum. I think the add-on looks a much simpler way of doing things, I wonder exactly what they change to achieve the effect?</description>

                                      I suspect the answer is change to Chrome - or possibly Chromium which doesn't show any of this.&lt;br /&gt;

Konqueror does but as a second column, not below the url; so your eye is not caught by them</description>
