Is it still the default temporary store location and if I wrote a program&lt;br /&gt;
that tries to write data to it would I expect some UAC event?&lt;br /&gt;

Yes, it is the temporary store location. There is even a directory called &amp;quot;Temporary Internet Files&amp;quot; with another directory inside &amp;quot;Content.IE5&amp;quot;. Now that's backward compatibility &lt;img src=&quot;images/smiles/icon_eek.gif&quot; alt=&quot;Shocked&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;

It shouldn't trigger UAC by the look of the various files written there.</description>

                                      I disabled the UAC completely.  Annoying thing.  If I get virused or hacked, I'll just reinstall.
