That's a good idea to keep carbon out of the atmosphere. Well done Asus. Why not use Kevlar, that has much more carbon content.

I find this pretty ingenious. Haha, knowing me I would probably stick with that case instead of getting a "real one". That is, until it heated to cinders due to excessive computer use. Or do they supply a good fan with it?

Mini-ITX boards generate very little heat, but I had the same thought as you that it uses more cardboard. That also makes it heavier, which increases the carbon footprint of transporting it.

All in all, a rather pointless gimmick, but one that will generate a fair bit of publicity for them.

I'll give them 10/10 for ingenuity at least. But I rather doubt that many people would go to the bother of building a temporary PC in the cardboard box, and then rebuilding it at a later date in a metal box. Who are these people who buy a new motherboard and then spend ages deciding what box to put it in?
