Specs are exactly the same:

DDR3 PC3-10600 � CL=9 � Unbuffered � NON-ECC � DDR3-1333 � 1.5V � 256Meg x 64

So it *should* be fine ..

But at only + �3 I'd buy from Crucial, specifically for the -

I would buy from Crucial, but then I've always bought from Crucial and had excellent service including replacement for getting the wrong module, my mistake, doh!

Which is about �3 cheaper.

Just to check... am I being an idiot and missing something or should I get the amazon RAM?

1) Hyperthreading?

2) Go to Crucial's web site, they have a memory selector where you tell them what you've got and they show the correct options.

Thanks to Mr taxman, I've just upgraded my old eeepc to a new one. This is the one I got yesterday:

I've wiped off Windows and installed Mint 11 (and am persuing a windows refund with asus), but I have a couple of queeries.

1) The spec says Dual Core, but the system monitor clearly shows 4 cores. ???

2) I want to upgrade to 2 GB RAM, but I'm not sure exactly what to get. My brother upgraded his laptop and got the wrong speed. He had DDR3 10xx and bought 1333. The new stuff doesn't work. I don't want to make the same mistake. I've opened up the port and there's nothing on the visible side of the RAM.

Can anyone help here? Ta.
