Serial USB converters have never been any different on a Fedora machine in my experience since FC6 or so (and the post is written for a Fedora host). There's a possibility that a program could fail, holding ttyUSB0 and on a re-plug the device would get ttyUSB1 assigned to it, but that's quite unlikely.&lt;br /&gt;

Have you had a different experience with a USB serial device on Fedora?</description>
