                                      I've just been setting up an Ubuntu 12.10 server. I was referring to an article in LXF 117 for help in setting up Samba but found quite a lot has changed. SWAT is now not installed and not recommended; smbmount is no more - replaced by cifs-utils. I found a lot of wrong advice on the web because it seems that the deprecation of smbmount is recent, so it would be good if you did an up-to-date article. Since the change is at Samba and kernel level, it is going to affect all recent distros, so it won't only be for Ubuntu users.&lt;br /&gt;
