foekker, you feel that you have been misunderstood unfairly. As a native English speaker (and writer), I know that you are right when you say that there are native English speakers whose grammar is worse than yours. These poor souls tend to be understood even less than you have been. But it is also true that your English could be a lot better; some of your sentences are hard to make sense of. In this situation, it is always safer to ask what was meant than to guess wrong, so please do not take it badly when we treat you as we would wish to be treated ourselves.

We have a saying that when an Englishman cannot make himself understood by a foreigner, he just shouts louder. You have certainly learned that habit well! Do you realise that you have been very abusive to many good people trying to explain their difficulties in helping you? Who is wrong and who is right is less important than how we conduct ourselves.

You have bought LXF and that makes you a friend. And if you think I have said some stupid or insulting things, please let me down gently.

This has absolutely nothing to do with copying text. That question was resolved days ago. But you still had a problem that we were trying to help with. If you recall, part of your problem was that you had not followed the instructions fully, you had not copied everything you needed from the disc.

Guess what? Those instructions were written on a 64 bit machine. Did you think I made them up? No. I found a method that worked and then documented it. I never read those. You didn't. Noone else ever will. So don't throw that prefabricated standard agreement BS at me. It probably came with the Forum server and haven't even been changed, or read, by the admins.

You're being remarkably ignorant. The fact that you never read the terms of service doesn't change the fact that you are bound by them if you want to participate on this forum.

As to your original problems, you would have saved yourself an awful lot of bother had you used some common sense. Firstly, your command of English isn't as good as you think. In your original post on this issue, for example, I count no fewer than eleven factual/grammatical errors. Complaining about other people's English is therefore a bit rich: it makes you seem like a bit of a wally.

Secondly, you need to take into account that the website has only just come back online. The vast majority of the old posters are yet to come back and the place will be understandably quiet until that happens. It's unfortunate that you didn't receive a prompt response to your original post but, circumstances being what they are, you have no right to complain about it, much less to start trolling the boards.

And so you have. However, nowhere in the magazine does it say that buying it entitles you to some sort of service level agreement for rapid response to questions posed on the forums. Nobody currently gets paid at all for working on this website.

My english is, as is common with people learning a second language, often better and more grammatical correct than what you usually expect of the native english speaking. However, you will be able to find several errors, misspellings and other details to pick at if your purpose in life is to flame my posts. That includes this one, so get at it boy and impress me with your skills.

I wager that my english is quite understandable and so is my two posts. If you are having severe problems with understanding the questions I so humbly try to ask, I find blaming my english a cheap excuse for your actual lack of intelligence. I suggest you re-read the posts and ask your parents for help in decoding the messages. I'm sure that by combining the efforts of your entire family, you might summon enough brain capacity to grasp the outer lines of my problem. While you're at it, see if you can find a solution to the mounting problem.
