Hi.
I just bought an USB drive to store my music. It was formatted to NTFS. It seems to work well to store files on it using Linux. But I wonder how reliable the NTFS support is in Linux? Are there any risks to use the drive as NTFS from Linux?
I could ofcourse reformat it to EXT4 (or something) but I want to use the disk from windows systems as well so it would be great if it worked well with NTFS. |

| NTFS support in the kernel is not considered wholly reliable but most distros use NTFS-3g which works in userspace and is considered pretty solid. Check that you have NTFS-3g installed. |
