Okay, so this is the list of FSF official distros:
http://www.gnu.org/distros/free-distros.html
While they do take contributions, it still seems dated.
On this Linux-libre kernel Wike page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux-libre), It list:
Amagi
Arch Linux
BLAG Linux and GNU
Canaima
ConnochaetOS
Dragora
Gentoo Linux
gNewSense
Kongoni
NeonatoX GNU/linux-libre
Parabola GNU/Linux
RMS GNU/Linux-libre
Tlamaki GNU/Linux
Trisquel
However, I thought arch still had proprietary stuff, even if you could use the Libre kernel. I like chakra, but I don't know as it's page isn't very descriptive. (http://chakra-linux.org/about.html)
So, my question is, which of these distros are fully free and what other distros are available with a modern (preferably Gnome 3 or KDE 4+) and is fully free?
And as mentioned in my other thread (http://www.linuxformat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=14579), is debian in fact fully free? There isn't enough clear information.
Thanks |

| I think a lot depends on where you define the boundary of the distro. for example, openSUSE is distributed as an all free distro but you can immediately add non-free repos. So most people do not run openSUSE as an all free distro though you could do by declining to add any non-free repo. |

| Well, OpenSUSE does not use the linux-libre kernel, does it? The one without binary blobs. Or does the FSF just not list distros with non-free repos? |
