also android? Really? Not a very friendly development platform and harder to break
(Unless you want to develop android apps for a hdmi tv with a usb socket) _________________ For certain you have to be lost to find the places that can't be found. Elseways, everyone would know where it was |

£139 plus P&P
HOW MUCH?!?!?
Although I suppose you do get wifi.
Right better stop posting instead of editing and go get lectured about human computer interaction. Might point this out as bad hardware design. Usb at one end for power and hdmi at the other, really. Wouldn't be as bad if the hdmi was a socket rather than a plug, or more sensibly a usb socket instead of a plug... Silly people what will they come up with next? _________________ For certain you have to be lost to find the places that can't be found. Elseways, everyone would know where it was |

HDMI for video out, USB for power in, can connect to any device with both sockets, bluetooth keyboard and mouse, and you're away.
An any display computer. _________________ The sig between the asterisks is so cool that only REALLY COOL people can even see it!

Type A sockets are for hosts, not devices. Sockets give power, plugs receive it, so a socket would not only break the standards but risk breaking your hardware. It is designed to be plugged into a host to receive power. Peripherals connect via Bluetooth, although there is also a MicroUSB socket on the side.
The price does seem a little high when compared with the Pi, but it has a faster processor... and a case _________________ Unix is user-friendly. It's just very selective about who it's friends are. |

It also has 1 GB of ram and wifi.
So you get an Android device that can be connected to any HDMI screen and connect to a wireless network .
It may be more expensive than the Raspberry Pi, but the target audience is different. _________________ The sig between the asterisks is so cool that only REALLY COOL people can even see it!
