I have recently purchased an Epson SX435W printer/scanner but it is not recognised by Xsane for scanning. Has anyone tried this printer or can advise where to find a driver?

Hi towy71,
I found this driver before but as far as I can see it is only a printer driver. What I need is a scanner driver.

Xsane doesn't recognise it. Although sane-backend epson2 (which I have installed) lists sx410 series this doesn't come up in the list of scanners to manually install, so I can't try that.

You need to go to this page: http://www.avasys.jp/lx-bin2/linux_e/spc/DL1.do#productinfo
select your model and distro to get the scanner software
