Minino v. 2, a Debian based distro for older computers with 1Gb RAM and an 800Mz processor has been released.
http://minino.galpon.org/en
The earlier 1.2 version which will run on computers with even less hardware resources has been upgraded to 1.2.1.
Minino is the Spanish for kitten. |

I wonder when the site will be up again.
I can get the distrowatch view, but minino.galpon.org isn't responding at present _________________ Derek |

Hm. The site was up when I made the post because I pasted the URL from the site.
Will try and find out. |

Had a message to say that the server has been down twice in the past 24 hours but they haven't yet been able to determine the cause.
As Dutch Master says, it is back up now. |

Interesting, although its mother tongue is obviously Spanish. To check this aspect I looked in the forums but could not find a single post. Obviously a very small distro, but might suit some people fine. _________________ Unsolved Mysteries of the Universe No 8 :-

I still can't believe that a computer with 1GB of RAM is considered "old". When I think of what I did with 2MB on my Amiga 1200...
Maybe this just means that I'm getting old
