I decided to stick original CD-ROMs int oa Fedora Core 2 setup (boot from them) in order to add missing KDE etc. and then worry about updating through update managers after. However - when I go through the process it detects my install, but after I've selected to upgrade that install, I get an error message saying that it cannot detect the swap partition and will reboot the machine (so we go around in circles).
I was sure I had a swap partition - this thing was originally set to "auto install". Sure enough, as root I fire up parted and see...

...also funny it should be detecting as hdb instead of hda methinks.
The result is I can't update from the CD-ROMs as it gives up saying there's no swap partion.
Anyone know of a remedy?

| I installed extras from the installation CD's from the FC2 menu "applications>System Settings>Add/Remove Applications". You should see what is installed already and if you want to add any apps you will be prompted for an "install disc". |
