Most ever Users

Postby Nuke » Sat Dec 15, 2012 12:40 am

I notice at the foot of the Index page, that "Most users ever online was 450 on Tue Nov 20, 2012 9:31 pm".

What was going on then? Did I miss something?

Reminds me of an incident in the film "That'll be the Day". Adam Faith, as a fairground worker, is being relieved in his shift, one evening late in 1963, by David Essex. Essex tells him that Kennedy has been assasinated. Faith responds with "It's been very quiet here tonight, so I guessed there must be something good on the telly".

That was during the recent spamfest, I suspect they weren't human users.

It was actually the moment when a particularly amazing revelation was made about the future of Linux.
Unfortunately, as you were obviously not on line at the time, I can't tell you what it was.
The sig between the asterisks is so cool that only REALLY COOL people can even see it!

Jeez I remember that one. And its sequel "stardust". Must be at least 30 years since seeing them
