I just wanted to post my praise for links, the text-based web browser. I had installed new updates for Ubuntu 12.04 and today it would only boot to prompt. Without another internet-enabled device handy, I installed links, googled and was able to find the answer in minutes - I'm using proprietary drivers for my ATI graphics card and I just had to reinstall them.
Thanks links! |

Isn't it Lynx?

Actually, thanks - this made me go and look at the history of Lynx for a while; use it on and off, but never really looked at the history of it.
But you're right - text browsers are great. |

Lynx and Links are two different text browsers, Elinks is a third. _________________ "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." (Albert Einstein) |
