Starting up the Wirral & Ellesmere Port Linux User Group (WEPLUG). There is a Google+ Community will be locked to all but LUG members, but the public message board for announcements will be on Twitter:

@WEP_LUG

Please share this with anyone who you think might want to help kickstart a LUG in Ellesmere Port.

Here at BradLUG we decided to have a moderated mailing list open to anyone who wanted to subscribe and that does not appear to have created significant problems.

Quite a few mailing list subscribers never/rarely show their faces anywhere else.

I normally lurk in Chester LUG, but am finding it increasingly difficult to get there (problems with travel as well as days clashing with other things).

Chester LUG uses the mailing list method as well. I thought it best to stick with what I'm good at. Very Happy

Wirral & Ellesmere Port Linux User Group, 1st ever meet...

The pub of the month (it might change in the future, but it'll do nicely for the first meet) is Old Hall Farm. Meet at 7pm on Monday 18th March.

It's located next to KFC, opposite Sainsburys. It's about 100 yards from the Cheshire Oakes junction of the M53.

The have ample parking and do 2-for-1 pub meals if anyone wants a bite to eat. Not sure about Wifi...
