I'm trying to view archives from firefox 17.0.7 esr but am only being given the option of downloading the file. The message box that appears states -

You have chosen to open:

LXF166.rev_ftl.pdf

which is a Binary File
from: http://www.linuxformat.com

Would you like to save this file?

pdfs from other sites appear in my browser. I'm using the pdf.js extension.

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

The links to the pages are via a page called download.php and the text says "Download the issue" so it appears the server is set to serve them as files for download. If so, there's nothing you can do about it without downloading the file first.

It did try pasting the URL into okular, which did view the page, but I suspect it downloaded it first.

Thanks

Guess I'll just have to live with it.

Unless Ben can tweak the server to send a suitable mime-type.
