Hi all,

I had a go a Zenwalk 1.3 and loved it. I may be biased, of course, as a long-time Slackware user. Smile

I have just read that v2.0 has been released and I expect that to be even more of a scorcher. Can we have Zen 2 on the cover DVD sometime soon, please? It would be nice to have the extra software on DVD as those don't come with the isos from the website.

A review would be nice too, as I believe such a splendid distro deserves more visibility.

Zenwalk 2.0 is passe. I'd much prefer Zenwalk 2.0.1. Smile

Zenwalk is an absolute necessity on the cover disk. Part of LFX's responsibility in the media is to raise the profile of distros that don't always get in the public's hands. I can understand why the big names get put on the disk, but with little gems out there like Zenwalk, I don't see how you could leave it off. Wink

I wrote this in another thread:

I looked into the new Zenwalk, but it seems like it'll take up a lot more room than 1.3. The 'core' ISO, at 250 MB, doesn't include any graphical apps so I'd have to bundle lots of extras too, cutting down space for other stuff. Still, the Zenwalk folks say they're planning a 'full' ISO at some point, so if there's space on a future disc I'll consider it.

Mike, the main Zenwalk has already been released a few days ago.

It's the same size as 1.3 I believe, but has newer features and all. This is not the Core release- it includes X, Xapps etc.
