Hi All,
I am trying to move from Mozilla to Thunderbird for email. Import address book has failed. I can find my Mozilla address book (abook.mab) but I cannot find the Thunderbird address book. Assuming they are compatible, where is Thunderbird's address book stored and what is it called? With this information I can move and if neccessary rename the Mozilla address book into Thunderbird.
Thanks. |

Default address book is still called abook.mab
You can usually find it in ~/.thunderbird/<somenumber>.default
- on my system <somenumber> is x7gq57o2
I would imagine they're the same format... _________________ Hope this helps,

If they're not the same format, there's a Thunderbird plugin called import Mbox which handled the transfer from Kmail to Tbird for me.
But I suspect, in this case, that they're the same format. If they are, then do it the easy way and use Thunderbird's own import tool (under Tools). |

Thanks for the advice, I copied abook.mab across and it worked after I changed the permissions. Thats what I had forgotten to do!
