|
Year One BSc Computer Science student, extremely skint, in need of a job that will keep me entusiastic and sane.
Weekends until midway through June, then I can do Mon-Fri, 9-5.
**Within 15 miles of Cardiff**
Can do:
PHP/MySQL/HTML/CSS (see my website, button below)
ASP and VisualBasic6 (though I don't like VB)
A certain ammount of Java and x86 Assembler
Delphi 5 (havent used it for a while though)
Can build and setup computers
User Support not a problem (especially if it's Windows)
Experience:
2002:
1 week at the local Computer Shop (New builds, upgrades, sales etc)
2004:
1 week as Junior Administrator/Dogsbods at my High School (Network Hardware and User support; used RM Network Management tools; built and did network-based installation of a custom WinXP setup on a roomful of PCs) _________________ OpenSUSE 10.2, WinXPHome

Shame you're in Cardiff and don't like VB as I MAY need someone like you this summer. _________________ --

Where are you then?
and I'm sure I can put up with VB, for experience and money
I'm easy to live with, honest... _________________ OpenSUSE 10.2, WinXPHome

Just outside Portsmouth. Not get the project authorised yet so don't be holding your breath. _________________ --

You could do what other students do and get a shelf-stacking job here (I work for them in a small Glasgow store and it's not hard. Boring, but easy).
Don't get your hopes up too high. Wanting a computing-related job at weekends only then 9 to 5 over the summer... that's very rare. If anyone knows different and wants a 3rd year Glasgow University honours comp sci student confident with Java, C, Ada, XHTML/CSS/PHP/SQL programmer over the summer, let me know _________________

Farmfoods in Ely?!?!
What I had in mind really was some kind of local business or something, like a local shop, or some consultancy or business with some projects they could use a coding monkey for...
It was wortha try, after all, the first reply was pretty good apart from not being in the right place! _________________ OpenSUSE 10.2, WinXPHome

They aren't recruiting IT jobs. I want something that won't bore me to death, and that will add something to my CV.
Also, I won't work in and MacBurgerHuts because I'm Vegetarian. Being around meat makes me a bit queasy... _________________ OpenSUSE 10.2, WinXPHome
