I have just seen that I have unread messages but I had not noticed before because the number is invisible but when there are no new messages the word no shows up.
I know it is a small thing but it is niggling me
TIA

Yes. For unregistered visitors get the message:
"Unregistered? Register for a user account" with no visible link. The hyperlinked word "here" is so dark as to be invisible.
I /think/ it is worst for visited links.
Lighten up, guys. _________________ Cheers,

while you're at it, would it be possible to remove this:
| Code: | | <span style="border-top-style: solid; border-top-width: 1"> |
from the forum/CSS? If you're on 1024x768 you get two messy black lines through the date.
Does no one else get that? _________________

| I think it's just the CSS for the default theme. Doesn't happen if you use the 'extra-lite' one. Which is waaay better anyway, IMHO. <ducks> |

It's also browser dependent. The lines go above and below the text in Konqueror, although they still look ugly. _________________ Unix is user-friendly. It's just very selective about who it's friends are. |

Just changed to the 'extra-lite' theme, and then logged in on my old P120 laptop which has a 640x480 screen. It makes the forum much more useable.
Following a previous thread, my login has been "remembered" every day this week which must be a record for the new site!

You could just wget the stylesheet and set your browser up to use that instead, after editing it to suit your own tastes.
