The objective of this movement is to gather the maximum supporters possible and virtually attack companies' support mailboxes, with pleads of driver support for our hardware on Linux.
WHAT IS IT?
This is a movement front with the objective to demand the Hardware drivers that are rightfully ours! We bought hardware, and want compatibility for what we paid! If we switch OS will they give our money back if our OS doesn't support it?
It seems right to me that the Hardware Vendor is the one who should make possible the use of their product!

I don't think that attacking mailboxes and demanding drivers will get you very far. If the box says "requires Windows XP" you are unlikely to get far with that argument.
A better approach is to be reasonable, explain what you want and why you want it, and gently point out that drivers are available for their competitors' hardware and that driver availability will affect all your future hardware purchases.
Companies do not respond positively to OS Zealots making demands based on perceived, and non-existent, rights. They do respond to a potential loss of market share. In some ways, they care less about losing a sale than their competitor gaining one. _________________ Unix is user-friendly. It's just very selective about who it's friends are. |

Im sure ive seen this post somewhere before.
I think Linux driver support should be becoming more standard within the next few years as Linux should strat becoming more popular however we could get some names together just to show that there are people out there who do use Linux daily and would like to have some good hardware support |

As Linux gets more popular, we should try to hit these corporations where it makes their eyes water: in the pocket! _________________
