I like the way they say: "Download Google Earth - Mac or PC or Linux". Does Linux not run on a Mac or a PC, then? Oh well, time to dig my SPARC out, I suppose! _________________ 800 LINES ERIC - GET BACK TO PYSKOOL |

This is great because a big company like Google is taking advantage of Open Source and hopefully will push others too
Who reckons google are going to release their own distro then? |

This isn't open source. It is a binary that only runs on x86-based Linux platforms. _________________ Unix is user-friendly. It's just very selective about who it's friends are. |

Sorry I said it a bit wrong.
I meant they are sending it out without a big sticker saying "WINDOWS XP ONLY" |

| I'm already running this on Dapper. It works well enough but don't make the mistake I made in installing using sudo. It works by installing for one user in the home directory in the same style as wine. I've had to create a gksudo launcher to run it (imagine, an administrator password for Google Earth). |
