'lo,
Team LXF are jetting off to Paris next week to corner Mandrakelinux founder Gael Duval about the merge with Conectiva, the resulting name change to Mandriva, Mandriva Club, the new Limited Edition distro plan, and more.
This is your chance to ask him questions - we plan to take the best questions posted in response to this message, and ask them to Gael when we meet. So, if you have something burning you want to ask the key man behind one of the most important distros, reply here.
If this plan works, we may do it for other interviews in the future.

Mandriva once did a gaming edition in cooperation with Transgaming, will you be deciding to create anymore colaborations or was this a one-off?
or
What did it feel like, after getting back on track and finding Mandriva on the top spot of most used distros?
or
I have noticed that Mandriva has gone from bleeding edge to using stable software only. Was this a big decision and why was the this choice made? _________________ My knowledge comes with no warranty...........

Having decided to focus more on the business market by offering a longer release cycle and thus longer periods of stability, will you be changing the default themes to something more professional looking, rather than the current designs which look like they were dreamt up by a not-especially-talented eight year old?
(I'm sure there must be a more diplomatic way of putting it, but I'm still in shock). _________________ Bye, Rhakios |

.. or it's "That fscking penguin!!" when they get the access-denied page on blocked sites at our place
I'd like to know what his view is on the name change, and if it was for marketing purposes, or just to keep both sides of the merge happy bunnies. |

| I suggest a Paxman-style repetition of the question "What the fsck is that name all about?" As many times as it takes to force a promise to change it to something less ... crap. |
