A feeble excuse! I just bought myself a new monitor as well, but didn't need to clear space as there was space where the monitor was. I have to admit its the first time I've seen the colour of the wood in a while, in fact so long that I thought it was a different colour. I find that buying new monitors distracts my other half from the mess on my desk, so I don't hear about that

Who said I was getting rid of the old monitor?
The new one's working nicely now, time to get to grips with TwinView/Xinerama.
