|

I was having difficulties getting Adobe's PDF reader to install on Windoze XP Pro yesterday - a conflict between Adobes installer and M$'s - when a friend suggested using Foxit instead.

This appears to take less time to start up from launching the application and oddly enough it seems to have significantly reduced the time from clicking 'Start' on the windows desk top to being able to launch any application.
The installation file is quite small.
Has anybody any experience of using this or any other PDF reader software? _________________ Candy

Yeah, Xpdf works fine for me and Gnome has it's "Document Viewer" who can handle pdf just fine. I'm sure your package manager has more apps to choose from...
Hint: this is primarily a Linux forum, I suggest to ask Windoze questions on other forums. ZDnet, GoT to name a few. You'll get much more (meaningfull) answers there. |

I work at a secondary school and we have Foxit PDF reader rolled out on all computers - no problems with it at all. _________________

Ahem, cough, cough. Look at the subforum heading. "Linux Format Forum Index >> Misc >> Other OS" Ahem, cough.
Nothing wrong with asking Windows questions here. I've done it myself and got some very helpful responses too. |
