The thing I really don't get is why didn't they pull out of this before it got to this stage. Its not a matter of if they loose or if they go bankrupt, its when..

Because it's got nothing to do with what's best for the company, but how much money individuals can milk from it before it goes boom.

Yeppers. And how much short-term unease they can create about Linux's viability in the enterprise...

At the end of the day while there are good geeks in enterprise there will be Linux, its come too far to really stop now. Even if a freak accident killed all the kernel developers a new lot would rise from the ashes.

cotton clouds ... Yep ... in on $1.50 or something like that ... out on ... wonder what the stock got to. Last i bothered it was around $16 0r $20 ... not a bad gig really i suppose. Hard to say what i'd do if a few million was dangled in front of me.... daylight ... ouch yaaawwwnnnn . hmmm, must be morning ... up an at it then ...
