Long time no see, and as you might have guessed, I'm still seduced by the dark side. Vista is Great, Outlook Rocks, Office 2007 is Jolly Super etc etc.
Anyway, for purposes of mobile computing, I have opensuse 11 on a usb harddrive, happily booting wherever it goes.
It's great to be back in KDE 3.5, but there's a handful of software I need in Windows, so my main PC is staying on the vastly underrated Vista...
It would be nice to access the files on the usb drive without rebooting, but ext2IFS refuses to work, as does the handy diagnostic utility on it's troubleshooting page, and no other software I've come across offers to mount ext2/3 partitions as normal drives.
So does anyone have any hot tips for mounting ext2/3 in Vista? You'd think with all this open-sourceyness someone would be able to write a driver that works.
Maybe I'll write my own driver.
With Blackjack.
And Hookers. _________________ This signature has been produced using traditional writing methods on behalf of The Campaign For Real Slogans.

In fact, forget the driver!
Ah Bender, you showed us the way.

Ho hum.
Two minutes of ranting about lack of support.
Followed by two minutes of googling which turned up ext2fsd on sourceforge.
Which seems to work.
In fact, forget the driver and the blackjack.
Ah, screw the whole thing... _________________ This signature has been produced using traditional writing methods on behalf of The Campaign For Real Slogans.
