And at last check, we had roughly 9,500 registered users... what are you going to give away to the 10,000th registered user, Mike?!

Ah but freedom with limits isn't freedom.

Yes my friend, that's the joke. I'm a walking paradox. Also it's a George Bush quote. Wink

Would be nice if even half of them posted Sad

Plus that isn't an accurate assumption because I've had several accounts over the years, and I'm sure other people have. Razz

Creating or appreciating a paradox requires a subtle mind (which I'm sure you have). When Dubya comes out with stuff like this it's symptomatic of merely a confused mind. Quite a different thing. Smile

Oh, and talking of Dubya... Linky. Laughing

My suggestion is to make the forum only viewable to registered users who are logged in. This would encourage more people to register, and post because they've already got an account.

At any given time there's about 20+ guests viewing and only 1 or 2 registered users. A bit sucky IMO Razz

Those 20+ guests are probably not human ... then again, I can think of a few posters (myself included) who may not be human! lol

The idea that the Internet should be tightly controlled leads directly here:

Blocking unregistered users from reading the forums would also prevent the posts being indexed by search engines. How many visitors come here from a Google link?
