Only just finished going through the speedups, fantastic adice!
Making good use of renice to sort out occasional jumps in dvb card
Firefox tweaks
Sorted PostgreSQL buffers, cache, fsync
Tuned php build
Sped up feiserfs used for just oggs and dvb recordings by adjusting fstab (noatime)

The rest of this months mag looks great, now I've got time to look at it too :)
I think, therefore I compile

Nah, it's getting nicked by the pixies who live at the bottom of your garden, why not write an article about the pixies & send it in to the mag?

I have to say that this month's mag' is actually very, very good. I tend to buy both LXF and Linux Magazine with not much to choose between either in terms of quality - both are excellent. This month's LXF though really does stand out, well done to the team :)
