Info icons - Current Weather conditions

Postby leke » Mon Jan 17, 2011 8:59 am

A little project of mine that displays the current Weather conditions as an icon on the desktop. Works for gnome based desktops -- Not sure if it will run on others.

Inspiration: http://www.tuxradar.com/content/code-pr ... wallpapers

Requires: Python and the feedparser module for python.

Download: http://rebol.vlexo.net/Programming/info ... con.tar.gz

I myself question the validity of this project, but wanted to do it anyway

Sounds like a great idea, but is this different from the one that I have built into my clock on my Ubuntu desktop?

Yeah, I know -- it's only different in appearance. I just wanted to see if I could hack icons and learn some stuff along the way.
