Take the family to Cineworld. 2 adults, 2 kids.
Adult £6.60 x2 = £13.20
Child £5.50 x2 = £11.00
3D surcharge Adult £2.10 x2 = £4.20
3D surcharge Child £1.50 x2 = £3.00
4x 3D glasses @ £0.80 = £3.20
Online booking charge 4x £0.70 = £2.80
TOTAL: £37.40 For a measly two hours entertainment
And that doesn't include the rip-off food and drink prices _________________ Bomb #20: "Let there be light" |

Bargain! We took two kids to see Yogi Bear at the weekend, almost £43 for 81 minutes, plus over a tenner for two popcorns and two drinks. That didn't include the 3D glasses, which we had already bought. _________________ Unix is user-friendly. It's just very selective about who it's friends are. |

Vue Ellesmere Port. Tickets for free after cinema evacuation due to fire. Many people get tickets who hadn't paid for them in the first place! |

If that's aimed at me, I didn't get any. I found out after the fact unfortunately. |

Is is as bad as the 14% at Rotten Tomatoes suggests? _________________ Bomb #20: "Let there be light" |

It was quite enjoyable, although not fifty quid's worth. _________________ Unix is user-friendly. It's just very selective about who it's friends are. |

I'm only glad the kids didn't persuade me to take them to see The Last Airbender. Must be the worst film I have seen in the last 10 years (or more). I would have bitterly resented spending almost £40 on that. Thankfully only rented the DVD.
It almost came into the "so bad its good" class when one of the protagonists exclaimed "Watch out, she's a bender" _________________ Bomb #20: "Let there be light" |

Someone told me that the best bits are all in the trailer (yes all of them), so I watched that, quite enjoyable.
Reviews I have read subsequently have suggested that the film would only appeal to existing fans of the TV series, in theory, the theory being rather spoiled by the fact that the film is so crap that even die-hard fans would be disappointed. _________________ Bye, Rhakios |

They were wrong. I loved the series. The film is a pale imitation, with poor acting, incorrect racial casting (3 caucasian actors instead of 2 native americans and a chinese actor, and an asian, but from the wrong side of china.) , crappy dialogue and plotline so full of holes you could drive the QE2 through it. Sideways.
But that's what comes of cramming 7 hours of cartoon into 2 hours of film. Still the special effects were worth all of that, weren't they? |

Why cut off my text to create a false dichotomy? They weren't wrong they were absolutely correct, the film is so crap, even die-hard fans can't enjoy it. _________________ Bye, Rhakios |
