I`m now on my holidays for a week; WOOHOO...
I`m going to Belgium to Ypres, the Somme etc, and visiting the war graves.
I suspect emotion(s) will take their toll on me... _________________ 73...

I don't think I've ever seen a post take such a sudden downturn from the first to the second sentence. _________________ Bye, Rhakios |

| Obviously not a gourmet; the secret is that the Belgians are better cooks than the French - but don't tell the French I said that. |

Actually, that is only partially true.
Most Belgians are Flemish and they are terrible cooks.
My grandmother (who was a Walloon, or French Belgian) was a superb cook.
I remember tiny brussels sprouts tossed in herbed butter with cumin and chestnuts, terrific roast chicken, fantastic desserts, île flottante, créme brulée and superb steamed puddings with Jam or Golden syrup. Sadly my mother didn't follow in her footsteps. _________________ The sig between the asterisks is so cool that only REALLY COOL people can even see it!

I`m back......
......and what a 'bloody' eye opener... ;'(
I did shed a tear a couple of times and have been humbled by the
bravery of these guys, on all sides.
