| This spamming is getting ridiculous. Can't we tighten up security? Maybe moderated first few posts? |

Overnight we had two spams from one user, and nothing particularly offensive. I think you need to reset your threshold of ridiculousness _________________ Unix is user-friendly. It's just very selective about who it's friends are. |

| What I mean is you're getting users joining daily just to spam. A more aggressive policy should stop it. |

What, like preemptive bans? _________________ For certain you have to be lost to find the places that can't be found. Elseways, everyone would know where it was |

It isn't too bad here heiowge, there are enough moderators to keep holding back the wild hordes _________________ still looking for that door into summer |

A pre-moderation policy wouldn't stop that though. They'd still sign up, post spam, and mods would have to check it and inform me. Effectively same system as now. Plus, new users genuinely looking for quick help would have to wait.
It's really no problem here, I think. One or two spammers a day, on a moderately busy forum, is pretty good. Their posts never stay up long and it takes me 30 seconds in the morning to ban them.

Maybe, but that aggression would be directed at all new users, not only spammers, making the forum less accessible to those that need it the most. I see more posts about cubes than spam some days and find them equally easy to ignore _________________ Unix is user-friendly. It's just very selective about who it's friends are. |

| Be fair, I've sold a load of puzzles and made a ton of new mods in the last few months, but not posted a thing about them. |
