The make/model of the webcam would help, as would the Linux distro/version you are using.
And what applications you have tried the webcam with.
Is it built-in, or USB ?
If built in, what is the make/model of the laptop etc.
The more info you can supply, the easier it will be for someone to help.
Also, what do you mean by "it is not compatible" ? _________________ WARNING: You are logged into reality as 'root'... logging in as 'insane' is the only safe option.

| Some webcams don't work with linux. Especially the really cheap ones from certain suppliers. My old trust one didn't work, so I bought a nice new logitech one before christmas. |

I just bought one with UVC(universal Video Class) on the case and it works fine, my Logitech Quickcam was always a hassle to get working and I got fed up with it _________________ still looking for that door into summer |
