This may not be news to some of you but it was to me.
I know a few people who gave up with SuSE because of YaST vs apt issues. Well now there's an apt command for SuSE.

Actually, it's not quite as good as it looks because it's only a wrapper around RPMs but it does a good job, as far as I can see.
Debian users won't feel quite so lost on SuSE now. _________________ overflow |

apt4rpm is not totally new. It was part of the former Connectiva distribution, and is the standard package manager, with the synaptic frontend, in PCLinuxOS.
The best thing about apt4rpm is that it does make Synaptic available in rpm-distros, which is much easier to operate than having to jump between four separate applets in Mandrake, for example. _________________
