As time marches on, why are there less and less PCI slots on motherboards? It seems getting more than two PCI slots to add peripherals is getting quite hard to find. DO manufacturers think we all want to run crippled computers?
One card for sound (to replace MOBO on-board sound), and a video capture card, and that's it, no more space to fit any future expansion.
Hell, there seem to be more MOBOs that support dual graphics cards than more PCI peripheral slots. We are not all gamers!
Phew, glad I got that off my chest. |

It's probably in part a function of space, as smaller boards are the most popular. That being said, a quick scan through the Ebuyer catalogue revealed several boards with a PCI Express and two ordinary PCI slots. _________________ Eric |
