Amiga by name, but Android (and even Windows) by nature. So, it's just rebadgeing then... _________________ Bye, Rhakios |

"Amiga produces and distributes enabling technologies and applications for wired and wireless devices."
I almost feel like crying, after reading that. My beloved Amiga, the computer that taught me so much and gave me so much fun, now reduced to some terrible website with a meaningless, stupid slogan.
The name "Amiga" should be protected by some kind of international law from this kind of nonsense. Might just have to dig my A1200 out now for comfort...

An excuse to get out my Amiga, or an excuse to cry?

God I loved my Amiga. I even had a 500Mb hard drive added to mine.
Amiga 1200. Best. Christmas. Ever. Even the shtty wee Trolls game it came with was good. Perhaps its just because I thought everything was good one it. Nigel Mansell face looked so real in his F1 game!
The Wordsworth wordprocessor. It's all flooding back!
And the awesome coverdisks from Amiga Format and Amiga Power. I can't remember which one did it, but one Christmas edition they gave out a mashup of Canon Fodder and Sensible Soccer.
God I miss those days of gaming. |

Oh, and Monkey Island 2 coming on 13 disks. 3 or 4 disk changes for the cut scene where Largo LeGrande spat grog on the wall.
And I loved it. |

Ah yes, I remember Wordworth... I only had a stock HD-less A1200, and remember having to swap floppies several times whenever I loaded it
I remember opening up the Frontier binary in Cygnus Editor and changing the names of places. And opening up the binary as a sound sample in Octamed to cut out the (rather cheesy) "orchestral" instruments and apply them to other mods.
And F1GP, and Blitz Basic, and... Great days.

Hi all...
Well my A1200 is up and running 24/7 and has Python, (old versions), on it,
and the usual dev stuff. I am a moderator on ACE Basic ML, (C) David Benn,
not very active but we are all still there and also an active member of LAG
Lincs AMIGA Group, a bunch of no hopers still greatly attached to the
machine and very active. Next meeting this Saturday but sadly I can't go
this time but will be at the next meet... :o)
I mainly use my A1200 for Arduino stuff now using ARexx, Python,
bwBASIC, C, ACE Basic, etc, etc...
I love DevPac2 and often use A68K and blink for simple assembly stuff...
Ooooh ahs just lerves me AMIGA... ;oD _________________ 73...
