I'm just starting to learn the Java programming language and whilst going through some tutorials I discovered this JavaFx framework (I guess it's a framework) and JavaFX Script.
I'm now a bit confused about what would be better to learn, Java (the language) or JavaFx script which runs on the VM and has access to the same libraries as Java? Or maybe both?

Could I get the guidance of an experienced Java programmer with some experience with JavaFx?

Thanks.
