According to the magazine, several LXF employees have a slight CrackAttack addiction.
Personally, my addiction is klickety. I open it up and there goes an entire afternoon of coding out the window. (My high score is 6)
So, any other LXFers got addictions to linux games? _________________

Unreal Tournament 2004 and Darwinia (though Darwinia is single player only) for closed games.
I don't tend to play many open games, though I found Adonthell to be fun when I played it.
If anyone ends up being bored and wanting to try some more games, check The Linux Gamers' Game List or The Linux Game Tome. |

On the subject of old adventure games... Flight of the Amazon Queen and Beneath a Steel Sky are both free now, and run in ScummVM.
Going on to Sierra, FreeSCI and Sarien allow you to play the old *Quest games (though not the most recent ones) _________________ Bloat. The crappiest Perl script in the world? You decide! |

Yeah I know, ifaik they come with SUSE 9.3, but they're no where near as good as the Monkey Island series. These are the best games ever IMHO, just listen to the theme music. Brilliant.
Shame Lucas Arts are now so given over to the violence in their main crop of titles. _________________ Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent |

Bzflag is a game I have found to be very addictive. it's quick, it's simple, it's multiplayer only. but I can jump into a game and play for 10 mins to get a qucik action fix and then get something productive done (yeah right)

You can play BZFlag multiplayer with some (admitteded pretty dumb) bots.
Just start it from a shell with bzflag -solo n &
replace n with the number of bots you want in the game:
e.g bzflag -solo 5 & _________________ Bomb #20: "Let there be light" |
